Oppenheimer's Equity Research Department Announces New Senior Analysts
NEW YORK, April 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is pleased to announce that it has added new senior analysts in a number of important areas to its research department, including:
Bret Jones, an Executive Director and senior analyst, covering the Healthcare Information Technology & Distribution (HCIT) sector, moved to Oppenheimer from Brean Murray, Carret & Co. where he was recognized in Institutional Investor's 2010 Analyst poll as Best Up and Comer in the HCIT & Distribution Sector. Bret received a B.S. in Finance from Florida State University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
Boris Peaker, an Executive Director and senior analyst, covering the Emerging Biotechnology sector, joins Oppenheimer from Rodman & Renshaw. Boris earned a Ph.D. in Biophysics from Stanford University and a dual B.S. in Physics and Chemistry from SUNY- Stony Brook.
Srinivas Sundararajan, an Executive Director and senior analyst, covering the Specialty Semiconductor and Emerging Technology Sectors, joins us from Barclay's Capital where he was covering the Semiconductor Capital Equipment sector. He holds a B.S./M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology; a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mexico and completed post-doctoral work at the University of California at Berkeley.
Tony Tian, an Executive Director and senior analyst, covering the China Industrials sector, joined us from Ladenburg Thalmann. Tony holds a B.S. in Land Management from China Agricultural University, an M.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Stern School of Business At New York University.
Ingrid Yin, an Executive Director and senior analyst, covering the China Healthcare, Specialty Chemical, and Food & Beverage sectors, also joined us from Brean Murray Carret & Co. Formerly a Senior Research Scientist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, she holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management; a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from SUNY - Stony Brook; and a B.S. in Chemistry from Peking University.
Oppenheimer also promoted Brian Bittner, David Ferreiro and Andrew Uerkwitz to Senior Analysts as follows.
