Pavlov Media acquires assets of Coretec Communications in Bloomington-Normal and Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., April 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Pavlov Media, through its CLEC* division Campus Communications Group, today announced it has acquired the assets of Coretec Communications in Bloomington-Normal and Champaign, Illinois. Those assets improve the ability of Pavlov Media to build and deploy fiber optic services.

The six former Coretec construction team employees are now part of CCG.

The assets acquired include:

• Several hundred strand miles of fiber optic
• Excavator machine and trailer
• Three Drill rigs and trailers
• Two dump trucks
• Larson trailer (allows crews to blow 10,000 feet of fiber optic a day into conduit)

*CLEC stands for Competitive Local Exchange Carrier, competing for local phone, long distance, broadband, and other fiber optic services.
