The Founder & CEO, wellness leader and TODAY on-air contributor brings her range of experience to the growing professional women's basketball league
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- UPSHOT today announced that Ally Love, renowned fitness instructor, media personality and Founder/CEO, has joined the ownership groups of both the professional women's basketball league and its Nashville Vibe franchise. Love joins a growing bench of prominent investors, including WNBA legends Cheryl Miller, Ann Meyers Drysdale and Tamika Catchings, building on the more than $40 million in committed investment with which UPSHOT debuted in 2026.
A longtime figure across sports, wellness, and media, Love has built a career centered on bringing people together through movement and community. Her investment in UPSHOT and the Nashville Vibe reflects that same focus, supporting the continued growth of women's basketball and creating new opportunities for athletes and fans.
"The future of women's sports is something we have the opportunity to build, not just witness. I'm proud to join the UPSHOT League ownership group and contribute to a vision that creates opportunity, strengthens communities, and continues to elevate women's basketball and sports. I'm excited to help shape what comes next," said Love.
Love has spent more than a decade working across professional sports and entertainment, including 11 seasons as an in-arena host for the Brooklyn Nets and co-hosts NFL Play Action on Paramount+. She is also the Founder & CEO of Love Squad, a community and platform dedicated to helping people lead with confidence, clarity, and connection.
At Peloton, where she serves as Vice President of Instructor Strategy & Development in addition to being a beloved instructor, Love has created signature series including "Sundays with Love" and "HIIT & Hills." She also hosted Netflix's Dance 100, serves as a TODAY on-air contributor, and is a member of the J.P. Morgan Athletes Council, which brings together leaders across sports to help shape how the firm provides financial guidance to athletes.
"Ally has spent her career using sports and wellness to bring people together and create meaningful communities, which aligns with UPSHOT's vision for the future of women's basketball," said Andy Kaufmann, UPSHOT Co-Founder and CEO of Zawyer Sports & Entertainment. "Her ability to connect with people and turn that connection into action will be an asset as we establish the Nashville Vibe, grow the league as a whole, and create more opportunities for women in professional basketball."
Love joins UPSHOT and the Nashville Vibe as the league prepares for its second season, expanding with four new teams in 2027. Following its inaugural season in 2026, UPSHOT continues to grow its presence in new markets while attracting investors committed to the long-term growth of professional women's basketball.
