Petco Invites Pet Families to Unleash the Merry with New Iconic Holiday Collection Offering One-Stop Gifting Experience

Featuring over 400 exclusive, on-trend items, this year's Merry Makings collection introduces friendly new characters including a frog and yeti, as well as new statement pieces, returning bestsellers, value items and gifts curated for every member of the family

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Petco today announced its new iconic Merry Makings holiday collection, featuring over 400 exclusive, on-trend items fit for gifting everyone on the shopping list, from dogs and cats to pet-obsessed humans. With products starting at $1.99 and most priced under $15, the collection offers new bespoke character-inspired toys, wow items, gifts for animal lovers and favorites at a great value.

Also, on Dec. 6, 2025, pet families can visit select Petco locations nationwide from 2 to 4 p.m. local time to make memories and take their holiday card photos with Santa or a playful life-size pickle in a festive Santa hat.  

With these tips and must-have gifts, pets and their people can get into the holiday spirit and prepare for all the season's festivities:

• Fido's New Best Friends: The holiday collection features brand new adorable holiday characters with their own personalities that are sure to be fido's new best friends. Meet Biscuit (gingerbread), Lucky (pickle), Grrrizwold (yeti), Gramble (frog) and Poppy (doe), who join Petco's beloved mascots, Ruff and Mews, to help spread holiday cheer to pets. Pet parents can pick the character that matches their pet's personality – are they sweet with a snap of sass like Biscuit; a gentle, snuggly giant like Grrrizwold; or wise like Gramble? Each character offers matching gift ideas for individual pet personalities, including a candy cane rope toy for Biscuit; large pickle snuffle book for Lucky; fancy bowtie set for Grrrizwold; plush mushroom toy for Gramble; and deer lights sweater, red bow tutu and peppermint latte toy for Poppy.
• Wow Items: Include pets in the countdown to the holidays with Advent calendars for dogs – toys and treats and 12 days of pickles – and cats. Statement toys such as the bestselling, viral giant pickle, and new frog on a log, plush scroll and stacking tree, create interactive, special moments with pets. Start a new family tradition with pets by hiding the frog on a log in a new spot each day for them to sniff out, helping to keep them occupied and engaged during the hustle and bustle. Petco's trending pickle toy returns in novel varieties to rejoice in National Pickle Day celebrations on Nov. 14, and beyond. From Nov. 2 through Dec. 24, 2025, Petco will offer a $29 Holiday Grooming Package that can be added to a full-service bath or groom and includes a free set of dog treats shaped like milk and cookies while supplies last. This add-on will feature holly berry-scented shampoo and spritz, moisturizing conditioner, teeth-brushing, nail-buffing and a themed bandana while supplies last.
• Give the Gift of Love: At Petco registers nationwide, pet parents can receive a Petco Love hat with a $20-plus donation to Petco Love or a choice of an enamel pin set with a $10-plus donation – available while supplies last.
