MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash., Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Premera Blue Cross today announced the introduction of PersonalCare Plans, offering individual consumers and small group employees plans that are designed to make healthcare and insurance coverage simpler, more coordinated and personalized.
Available for residents of King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, Premera's PersonalCare Plans are now offered in Gold, Silver and Bronze levels. The plans may be purchased directly from Premera or through Washington Healthplanfinder.
PersonalCare plans are among the most affordable of Premera's plans. Each member chooses their own PersonalCare Partner System and a primary care physician (PCP) in that system, who provides or coordinates the care the member needs.
Premera's PersonalCare Partner Systems include five leading local medical organizations: EvergreenHealth Partners, MultiCare Connected Care, Northwest Physicians Network, UW Medicine Accountable Care Network, and Virginia Mason Medical Center.
PersonalCare Plans allow each family member on the plan to select their own Partner System (and PCP). Within each plan coverage level, the coverage and costs are the same regardless of the Partner System selected. Members may change their Partner System or PCP (monthly if desired), even outside of the open enrollment period.

Premera's PersonalCare Plans are the company's newest offering of plans based on Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) – systems of health care providers, including primary care physicians, specialists and hospitals – that work collaboratively and take collective accountability for the cost and quality of the care for members who select them.
Consumers shopping for individual plans during open enrollment can select Premera's PersonalCare Plans for coverage effective January 1, 2016.
