PRG Real Estate and WVS Companies Pledge $50,000 to Support Venture Richmond's Brown's Island Improvement Project

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- PRG Real Estate, in partnership with longtime development partner WVS Companies, has pledged $50,000 to Venture Richmond's Brown's Island Improvement Project. The contribution, distributed over the next five years, will transform the riverfront into a world-class public park for the Richmond community.  

The Brown's Island Improvement Project is a $30 million initiative designed to enhance one of Richmond's most iconic outdoor destinations. The project will help develop new and expanded facilities to grow this soon-to-be gem of the James River and create welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike to gather, connect, and explore.  

Venture Richmond, a nonprofit dedicated to improving downtown Richmond through economic growth, cultural vibrancy, and riverfront revitalization, is leading the effort. PRG and WVS are proud to support this initiative, which will elevate the quality of life and ensure Richmond remains a city where people can work, live, and thrive.
