PwC Appoints Nick Walker to Lead Kentucky Market

LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US announced today that Nick Walker has been named managing partner of the firm's Louisville office, effective July 1, 2011.  He will direct the strategy and operations of PwC in the Kentucky market, which also includes the firm's office in Lexington.  Mr. Walker will succeed Phillip Gregory, who is retiring after a 33-year career with PwC.

Mr. Walker is an assurance partner who has served as global engagement partner for several of PwC's private and public company clients.  He has extensive experience working with a broad spectrum of companies, including SEC-registered healthcare providers and payers, privately-held and non-profit healthcare entities as well as private equity funded clients in various industries. Mr. Walker is also a member of the national leadership team for PwC's Healthcare Provider practice.  He began his career in PwC's Louisville office and has also served as a partner in the firm's Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL offices.

Mr. Walker is a member of the Board of Directors of the Louisville Health Enterprises Network and is active in several civic and charitable organizations. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, is a Certified Public Accountant in Kentucky and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants. He resides with his wife, Sheila, and their two children in the St. Matthews area.
