QVC Promotes John Cowan to Senior Vice President, IT Global Services

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC, the global leader in video and eCommerce retail, announced today the promotion of John Cowan to the position of Senior Vice President, Information Technology Global Services. Cowan, who will report to Linda Dillman, CIO, will be responsible for driving key global IT initiatives and providing leadership for QVC's European IT organization.

Cowan was most recently Vice President, Global Systems & Initiatives. Since joining QVC in 1994, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President, Business Strategy and Technology Integration, and Vice President of Business Technology. He also played a key role in the start-up of QVC in Germany and Japan, and recently assisted QVC Italy in deploying a new systems release in September 2012.

Cowan will continue to be based at QVC's global headquarters in West Chester, PA.
