Santa's Workshop Will Open at North Shore Animal League America on Tuesday, December 20

Tune In to UStream From 11:00 A.M.2:00 P.M. to Meet Santa and His Elves, Along With Adorable and Adoptable Pets Being Pampered for the Holiday Weekend

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Dec. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Santa Claus has a busy week ahead but he is taking time to set up his Workshop at North Shore Animal League America to help groomers prepare pets for the holiday weekend.  Santa will make a festive visit to the Grooming Room on Tuesday, December 20th, with special messages for animal lovers watching live on UStream, between 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.  This holiday UStream feed will include seasonal music, decorations and plenty of precious dogs and puppies. 



To draw attention to the responsible choice of adopting, the Animal League - the world's largest rescue and adoption organization - provides live weekly UStream feeds: Tuesdays from the Grooming Room and Thursdays from the Pet Nursery.   The feeds run from 11:00 A.M.2:00 P.M. and feature adorable and adoptable pets.

Animal lovers looking to save a life this holiday season are encouraged to visit a local shelter.  Over 8 million animals enter shelters each year and, tragically, more than 4 million of them are euthanized.  There are many healthy and beautiful animals at local shelters, looking for loving and permanent homes, and many shelters have special holiday hours.  The Animal League is open every day, 9:00 A.M.9:00 P.M., and holiday hours are Christmas Eve from 9:00 A.M.8:00 P.M.; Christmas from 10:00 A.M.6:00 P.M.; New Year's Eve from 10:00 A.M.8:00 P.M.; and New Year's Day from 10:00 A.M.9:00 P.M.
