Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments

BRANCHVILLE, N.J., June 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Selective Insurance Company of America, a subsidiary of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI), announces the following officer appointments.

Maria Orecchio to Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel. Ms. Orecchio joined Selective in 2014 as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel. Prior to joining Selective, Ms. Orecchio served as Senior Counsel at Clyde and Co U.S. LLP. Ms. Orecchio earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology from Fordham University in New York and her J.D. from St. John's University Law School in New York.

Jamie Beal to Vice President, Director of Communications. Ms. Beal joined Selective in 2015 as Assistant Vice President, Director of Communications. Prior to that, she served as Senior Manager of Internal Communications at Toys"R"Us. Ms. Beal earned her bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a minor in Speech and Communications from York College in Pennsylvania.

Steven Bennett to Vice President, Field Operations. Mr. Bennett joined Selective in 2005 as an Agency Management Specialist (AMS) and most recently served as Territory Manager for Selective's Southern Region. Mr. Bennett earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Statistics from Georgia State University and holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Brian Bessler to Vice President, Field Operations. Mr. Bessler joined Selective in April 2013 as a Territory Manager for Selective's Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to that, he worked as a producer at Murphy Insurance in Cincinnati, Ohio and served as a Field Representative for Cincinnati Insurance. Mr. Bessler earned his bachelor's degree in Economics from Xavier University in Ohio.

Deneen Dallago-Lohan to Vice President, Regional Manager. Ms.Dallago-Lohan joined Selective in 2006 and has served in a variety of underwriting positions, most recently serving as General Liability Line of Business Leader in Selective's Corporate Underwriting department. Ms. Dallago-Lohan received her bachelor's degree in Business from Delaware Valley University in Pennsylvania and holds designations as both an Associate in Underwriting and Associate in General Insurance.

Michael Mazzarella to Vice President, Commercial Lines Underwriting. Mr. Mazzarella joined Selective in 1988 as a Corporate Trainee, and developed his expertise and experience through a variety of corporate and field roles throughout Selective, most recently as Vice President, Underwriting for Selective's Northeast Region in 2008. Mr. Mazzarella earned his bachelor's degree in Economics from Moravian College in Pennsylvania and holds designations as both a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and a Certified Insurance Counselor.

John Villani to Vice President, Underwriting. Mr. Villani joined Selective in 2005 as an Agency Management Specialist (AMS), and most recently served as Territory Manager for Selective's Northeast Region. Mr. Villani earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and holds designations as both a Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Manager.

Contrina Hall to Assistant Vice President, Regional Claims Manager. Ms. Hall joined Selective in March 2018. Prior to that, she served as the Chief Claims Officer at McNeil & Company. Ms. Hall earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Conflict and Negotiation Management and is working towards a master's degree in Education from Trident University. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and History from Chapman University in California.

Nicole Hayes to Assistant Vice President, Contractors Strategic Business Unit Leader. Ms. Hayes joined Selective in 2010 as a Corporate SBU Summer Intern, then transitioned to Selective's Northeast Region as an Underwriter before becoming an Agency Management Specialist (AMS) in 2013. Ms. Hayes received a bachelor's degree in Economics, with a dual minor in Business Society and Culture and Sociology, from Drew University in New Jersey. She also holds the Associate in Underwriting designation.

Justin Kohlhepp to Assistant Vice President, IT Application Delivery. Mr. Kohlhepp joined Selective in February 2018. Prior to that, he served as Director, IT Delivery, at The Hartford Financial Services Group. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hartford and his bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Quinnipiac University, both in Connecticut.
