ShiftMed Offers Ride Integration with Uber Health for Full-Time and Part-Time Hospital Staff With No Up Front Cost

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- ShiftMed, a leading AI-Powered Healthcare Workforce Platform, has expanded its integration with Uber Health to give health system employees direct access to transportation through the ShiftMed Flex platform. The feature enables hospital-employed clinicians and staff to request Uber rides to and from shifts with no upfront costs. The expansion extends the transportation benefits to more than 5.7 million hospital employees employed in the US.

Health systems can activate the Uber feature within ShiftMed Flex to support both full-time and part-time staff access rides. Clinicians can request rides directly in the ShiftMed app, and fares are automatically deducted from their shift earnings, eliminating the need for upfront out-of-pocket payments. The integration is designed to help reduce barriers to getting to work, improve clinician retention, and strengthen patient care.
