Sysmex America Awarded Novation Hematology Contract Agreement

MUNDELEIN, Ill., June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sysmex America, Inc., the wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of Sysmex Corporation, Kobe, Japan, today announces it has been awarded a five-year multi-source hematology contract agreement with Novation. Novation is the leading health care supply contracting company for the more than 65,000 members of VHA Inc. and UHC, two national health care alliances, and Provista, LLC.  As of July 2012, these members will have multiple acquisition access options (purchasing, leasing or Cost Per Reportable (CPR)) to an array of Sysmex clinical laboratory hematology solutions, products and services. Sysmex is a global leader in medical diagnostic testing equipment and information systems technology and services hospitals and health care networks, reference laboratories and physicians offices worldwide.

The contract agreement provides members access to best-in-class automated hematology solutions including Sysmex® XE-Series, XT-Series and XS Series (XS-1000i), KX-21N™ and pocH-100i™ automated hematology analyzers, Sysmex® HST and Alpha Series (XE-AlphaN, HST-N) hematology automation solutions, CellaVision® DM-Series analyzers, and Medica EasyCell® assistant Cell Image Analysis System and reagents, controls and calibrators.  Additionally, members served by Novation have access to Sysmex America's Peak Performance Program.  This program offers flexible and comprehensive support services and resources that support a clinical laboratory's long-term success before, during and after instrument or system implementation.  Training and technical support for members served by Novation will be provided through Sysmex America's U.S. headquarters in Mundelein, Illinois.
