TowerBrook Capital Partners to Team With Experienced Industrial Executives John Janitz and Dominick Schiano

NEW YORK, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- TowerBrook Capital Partners L.P. ("TowerBrook"), a New York- and London-based investment firm, today announced that John A. Janitz and Dominick J. Schiano, through their firm Evergreen Capital Partners LLC, have been engaged by TowerBrook as advisors to explore investment opportunities in the industrial and related services sector, including opportunities in the fields of clean technology, aerospace and defense, infrastructure equipment and capital goods manufacturing.  Mr. Janitz and Mr. Schiano possess a rare combination of operating and investing experience, with over 70 years of combined experience in the industrial sector, more than 10 of which were spent serving in senior investment roles.  Mr. Janitz and Mr. Schiano have overseen or operated investments in a number of manufacturing, distribution, logistics and mining businesses serving a wide variety of end markets.

John Janitz has more than 40 years of management, operations and investing experience.  He has served as President, COO and a board member of Textron, Inc., a $13 billion NYSE-listed multi-industry company, and has held various executive roles within Textron subsidiaries.  Mr. Janitz has also held senior operating roles at TRW Inc., an international company providing advanced technology products and services; Wickes Manufacturing Company and Wickes' predecessor company, Gulf+Western Industries, Inc.  For the last three years, he served as Chairman–Global Industrial Partners at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, and prior to that served as Co-Managing Principal for Questor Partners Funds, a $1 billion turnaround investment firm.  Mr. Janitz holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University, an MBA from Eastern Michigan University and is a graduate of the Harvard University Advanced Management Program.

Dominick Schiano has over 30 years of experience in management, operations, investing and finance, and has spent much of that time working with Mr. Janitz.  Over the last three years, Mr. Schiano served as Vice Chairman–Global Industrial Partners for DLJ Merchant Banking Partners.  Previously he served as Managing Director and a Member of the Investment Committee at Questor Partners Funds.  Mr. Schiano also served in various executive roles at Textron Inc., including EVP and CFO of Textron Automotive, and EVP and General Manager of Textron Fastening Systems, Inc. (Threaded Products Group).  Prior to Textron, Mr. Schiano held senior positions in finance, mergers & acquisitions and operations at TRW Inc., Gulf+Western Industries Inc. and Emerson Electric Co.  Mr. Schiano attended Long Island University, majoring in Finance, and is a graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton School Management Development Program and the Northwestern University-Kellogg School Mergers and Acquisitions Program.
