TXU Energy Free Nights Evolving to Give Consumers Even More Choice

"Free is a powerful offer," said Sydney Seiger, chief marketing office for TXU Energy. "But the real benefit of TXU Energy Free Nights is that we give our customers control over how much they save."

With this new option, customers can select a plan that includes free electricity from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. or 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. They will get free electricity during their selected hours every night for the duration of their contract. The more activities they shift to those hours – including laundry, dishwashing and running pool pumps – the more they can save.

"TXU Energy Free Nights has changed the conversation," Seiger said. "By establishing an emotional connection with consumers, we're able to help them realize that they can sleep cool and comfortable – and save money – with a few simple changes to their habits."

Since launching TXU Energy Free Nights in 2012, TXU Energy has given residential customers about 1.5 billion kilowatt-hours of free electricity through its suite of Right Time Pricing^SM plans.
