NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- W. P. Carey Inc. (W. P. Carey, NYSE: WPC), announced today that it has entered into a note purchase agreement to issue:
- €150 million of fixed rate senior unsecured notes with a 7-year term maturing on September 28, 2029, and an interest rate of 3.41% in a private placement offering; and
- €200 million of fixed rate senior unsecured notes with a 10-year term maturing on September 28, 2032, and an interest rate of 3.70% in a private placement offering.
W. P. Carey anticipates funding to occur on or about September 28, 2022, and intends to use the net proceeds from the issuance of the notes primarily to reduce amounts outstanding under its unsecured revolving credit facility. Other potential uses include refinancing existing indebtedness, funding potential acquisitions, developments and investment opportunities, and general corporate purposes.
The notes are expected to be sold in reliance on the exemption from registration provided by Section 4(a)(2) of the Securities Act of 1933. The notes have not been and will not be registered under the Securities Act or any state or other jurisdiction's securities laws and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from the registration requirements of the Securities Act and applicable state or other jurisdictions' securities laws.
