SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Oct. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- West Coast Community Bank (WCCB) announces the American Bankers Association (ABA) has elected Jon Sisk, WCCB executive vice president and chief banking officer, chair of its Community Bankers Council (CBC) for the 2025-2026 association year.
CBC members are presidents and CEOs from banks across the country. This group meets in person twice a year to shape strategies around government relations, emerging trends in banking and competitive priorities. Their insights help guide the ABA on key issues affecting community banks. As chair of the Council, Sisk will lead these efforts and represent the collective voice of its members—advocating on Capitol Hill, speaking at industry events and participating in high-level leadership discussions.
"Community banks are the backbone of local economies, and their success is deeply tied to the well-being of the communities they serve," Sisk said. "It's a privilege to lead the Community Bankers Council and work alongside dedicated bank leaders from across the country. Together, we'll champion the unique role of community banks and ensure they have the tools and support needed to thrive in today's evolving regulatory landscape."
"Jon's extensive experience in community banking and leadership will be a valuable asset to the CBC and to our industry as a whole," said Krista Snelling, chairman and CEO. "We're proud to have Jon representing West Coast Community Bank and the best interests of community banking on a national level."
