Zipments Acquires Hobson to Become the Leading Same-Day Delivery Provider for Retailers in New York City

NEW YORK, July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Zipments, the fastest growing delivery service in NYC announced today that it has acquired NYC-based Hobson, a leading provider of same day delivery service for retailers.  The move is the latest by Zipments to offer a variety of delivery solutions to businesses and consumers throughout NYC and other major metropolitan markets.  Zipments has historically focused on three market segments – business services, ecommerce and personal deliveries.   The acquisition of Hobson will enable Zipments to offer a more comprehensive service to retailers now with both online and in-store fulfillment solutions.

Hobson supports close to 200 retailers in New York City, including more than 30 national chains, offering same day delivery to homes, hotels and businesses. Zipments will expand the service to include 1-hour deliveries and will provide retailers and their customers with a variety of online and mobile tools for tracking the status of deliveries in real-time.
