NEW YORK, Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- 5WPR, one of the largest independently owned PR firms in the U.S., is proud to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in the Integrated PR & Marketing category of the 2025 PR Daily Awards for its campaign with The Honest Kitchen, titled "Feed Them the Best. Whether They Deserve It or Not." This recognition celebrates the agency's creativity, strategy, and measurable impact in shaping the future of integrated communications across the pet food and lifestyle sectors.
The campaign, launched to stand out in a crowded pet food market, highlighted The Honest Kitchen's position as the first human-grade pet food brand. With a witty, tongue-in-cheek approach to pet ownership, the initiative aimed to engage a new generation of pet parents, foster consumer participation, and elevate brand recognition while creating an emotional connection with pet owners who see their animals as family, even when they misbehave.
5WPR developed a fully integrated pet marketing communications strategy rooted in authenticity, humor, and a deep understanding of today's pet owners. The campaign included a high-impact earned media rollout targeting trade, lifestyle, pet, and marketing outlets; a co-branded sweepstakes with Naturepedic that encouraged user-generated content; and experiential pop-up events in New York City and Los Angeles. Each activation reinforced the campaign's playful message while positioning The Honest Kitchen as a relatable, premium, and trusted brand.
"The success of this campaign reflects the power of creativity, strategic storytelling, and authentic brand engagement," said Leigh Ann Ambrosi, Managing Partner & EVP, Lifestyle & CPG at 5WPR. "We are thrilled that our work with The Honest Kitchen has been recognized as a finalist in the PR Daily Awards. This campaign was about more than just media coverage; it was about connecting with real pet parents, celebrating the humor of pet ownership, and bringing the brand's personality to life through integrated storytelling."
Within just one month of launch, the campaign secured more than 185 million impressions and over 50 earned media placements in outlets including Chief Marketer, Trend Hunter, Uncover LA, and amNY. The sweepstakes drew over 2,500 entries, generating valuable user content and consumer data, while the pop-up events welcomed 200+ attendees, including 50+ members of the media and influencers from top outlets such as CNN Underscored, GMA Online, and The Spruce Pets. Social sharing from these activations resulted in more than 50 organic posts, extending the campaign's reach across digital and social platforms.
The 2025 PR Daily Awards will be presented during a live industry celebration, which will also honor agencies named to PR Daily's Top Agencies List. Winners will be revealed on Tuesday, December 2 at 12 p.m. at City Winery in New York City.
