Acuant Certifies Epson Multifunction Teller Devices

With Epson hardware, financial institutions are able to scan and capture images of driver's licenses and/or other government issued IDs, which can then be used by Acuant's idScan® to auto-populate this information into the institutions' systems. With one of the industry's highest quality ID scanner built into its devices, Epson's solutions greatly simplify the capture and validation process for the teller at the point of customer interaction. The integrated solution is available from Acuant today and will be shown at BAI Retail Delivery, a conference for the financial services industry, October 13 -15, at the Venetian, Epson booth 1621.

Federal regulations require financial institutions to know and verify the identity of their customers.  Criminals and fraudsters use sophisticated fake IDs with stolen identities to apply for credit, cash fake checks, launder money and access funds that do not belong to them. Acuant assists financial institutions with information verification in order to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) Act and Red Flag Rules. Using Acuant and Epson multifunction teller devices makes compliance with the federally mandated Customer Identification Program (CIP) easier.
