AutoNation partners with Indianapolis 500 champion Ryan Hunter-Reay and Racing for Cancer to Host A Trio of 'Yellow Party' Events in 2015

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE: AN), America's largest automotive retailer, and reigning Indianapolis 500 champion Ryan Hunter-Reay and his charity Racing for Cancer have announced today that the organization's iconic fundraising event, The Yellow Party, will return in 2015 with three exclusive events in key racing markets.

Racing for Cancer's 2015 fundraising season will kick off in St. Petersburg, Fla. on March 27^th, along-side the Verizon IndyCar Series season opener. The second stop for the fan-favorite event will be in Indianapolis, Indiana. on May 21st, and the final event taking place in conjunction with The Michael Andretti Foundation in late August.

The Hunter-Reays, dubbed America's first family of racing, look forward to continuing their campaign to spread awareness for early detection and finding a cure for the disease that affects over 28-million people worldwide. Racing For Cancer's greatest milestone to date came in November when Hunter-Reay and his family had the honor of presenting the Cleveland Clinic Florida Maroone Cancer Center with $2.5 million. The generous donation made possible by top sponsor AutoNation and donors nationwide took just four short years of fundraising and will name the Center's lobby for Hunter-Reay's late mother, Lydia Hunter-Reay, who lost her battle with cancer in November of 2009.
