DENVER, Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Bow River Capital, a Denver-based alternative asset manager, is pleased to announce that it is expanding its Evergreen Private Equity Team with the addition of Erick Podwill as a Director.
"We are thrilled to welcome Erick to our growing team," said Jeremy Held, Managing Director at Bow River Capital. "Erick brings a wealth of private market expertise, strong relationships and underwriting experience in the lower middle market, an important focus of our strategy."
Mr. Podwill joins Bow River from Canterbury Consulting where he was the Chair of the firm's Private Capital and Fund of Fund Research Committees, in addition to managing investment selection for Canterbury's private equity Fund of Fund strategy. Prior to joining Canterbury in 2018, Mr. Podwill was with Aksia Torrey Cove Capital Partners, LLC where he performed due diligence primarily on private equity, growth equity and venture capital investments. Mr. Podwill has more than a decade of private market sourcing, underwriting and monitoring experience and will join Bow River's Evergreen Fund Investment Committee as a voting member.
"I am excited to join Bow River and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Evergreen Fund," Podwill said. "Bow River's middle market focus and thoughtful, diversified approach to private market investing aligns with my experience and passion. I look forward to working with this talented team to deliver compelling opportunities and long-term value to investors."
The Bow River Evergreen team has made significant investments in the last year to support the firm's growth. Mr. Podwill's hire follows the recent investment hires of Teague Towner from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians' Sovereign Wealth Fund and Amanda Krakauer from Blackstone Strategic Partners.
The Bow River Capital Evergreen Fund was launched in May 2020 and provides access to a broad range of private market investments across vintage year, geography, and size with a focus on middle market private equity. Since inception, the Fund has executed more than 120 transactions, providing exposure to hundreds of private companies. The Fund is predominantly focused on middle market and lower middle market investments and recently surpassed $990m in assets as of September 1, 2025.
"Our goal with the Evergreen Fund is to provide investors with a private equity portfolio focused on the middle market, an area that Bow River has invested in for more than two decades. We couldn't be happier to be growing our team with the goal of providing investors with differentiated sources of return, particularly in periods of heightened volatility."
