Colorado Springs Airport Contracts for PASSUR Revenue and Operations Optimization Solutions
STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PASSUR Aerospace, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PSSR) announced today that Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has contracted for the PASSUR® Landing Fee Management Solution to ensure that the airport captures all its landing fee revenue, that all users are paying only their appropriate share, and that the process is simplified through automation. COS has also contracted for PASSUR flight and airspace visualization tools to optimize operational safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness for airlines and the traveling public.
"Date-driven collaborative processes are at the heart of aviation's future," said John McGinley, Assistant Aviation Director - Operations & Maintenance, Colorado Springs Airport. "PASSUR's solutions will help us ensure that we are deriving maximum financial and operational value from our primary assets, for the benefit of our most important users - the airlines and their customers."
"Our industry is increasingly coalescing around business intelligence - the smart use of historical data, predictive analytics, and automation to drive key business metrics, decision support, and performance measurement," said Jim Barry, President and CEO of PASSUR Aerospace. "We have been very successful partnering with dozens of airports to drive significant, quantifiable gains in revenue capture and operational efficiencies."
The PASSUR Landing Fee Management Program
Airports today are expected to capture all revenues from all flights; assure their airline partners that fees are levied fairly, transparently, and efficiently; and explore new avenues of activity-based revenue. The legacy system of airline self-reporting has become a complex, time-consuming, and inefficient process. The PASSUR Landing Fee Management Program and Airport Management Business Intelligence Reports put airports in control of these critical revenue streams by giving them and their airline partners the independent, standardized, and accurate information tools they need to ensure complete revenue capture, quicker revenue recognition and payment, and effective forecasting and analysis. The program also includes the option for a rich aviation operation statistics data feed into Airport Operational Database (AODB) systems.
The PASSUR Airport Operations Program
Airports are being asked to provide more cost-effective, efficient, and safe airfield operations for carriers, to help them achieve greater throughput, quicker turns and fewer ground delays - critical elements of airline profitability in today's challenging environment. Airports also want to consolidate airfield management functions onto a single platform to minimize staff requirements. The PASSUR Airport Operations Program provides airport ramp tower, operations, and communication centers the alerts, decision support, planning and analysis tools they need to run a more efficient and safe operation, and the web platform for cost-effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with all the airport's key constituencies. It includes modules for field condition reporting/eNOTAM integration, live dashboards of key operations metrics, flight and airspace visualization, and "long onboard" ground delay management (Tarmac Delay Monitor™).
