Dave Hansen Named Interim CEO and Board Chairman of OnX Companies
IT industry vet to continue as an Operating Executive at Marlin Operations Group
TORONTO, May 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The OnX companies – OnX Enterprise Solutions, OnX Managed Services and Momentum Digital Solutions – together composing a leading enterprise technology solutions integrator, today announced the appointment of Dave Hansen as new Chairman of the Board and interim CEO.
He succeeds Michael Cox, who retired as CEO at the end of April after three years. Hansen will continue as an Operating Executive at Marlin Operations Group, Inc., an exclusive consulting firm affiliated with Marlin Equity Partners, the private equity firm that is the majority owner of OnX. He will remain as chairman of the board at OnX after a new CEO is found.

Hansen is a 30-year veteran of the IT industry and has held a number of leadership positions at prominent firms. Before joining Marlin Operations Group in 2015, he was vice president and general manager of sales, marketing and services at Dell Software. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of SafeNet in Belcamp, Md. In 2012, he was vice president and general manager of BMC Software after that company acquired Numara Software, of which he had been president and CEO.
Before that, Hansen spent ten years with CA Technologies, where he held a number of positions at the corporate senior vice president and general manager levels, responsible for enterprise solutions, cloud products, security management products and other areas. He is a graduate of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and got his start in IT in the pulp paper business and education sectors in his native Canada.
The search for a new CEO at OnX is underway and is being led by Hansen.
Hansen and his family live in the Dallas area.
