LISHUI, China, March 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmmi, Inc. ("Farmmi" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: FAMI), an agriculture products supplier in China, today announced the Company's successful participation in the 44th Food and Beverage Exhibition ("Foodex Japan") from March 5 – 8, 2019 in Makuhari Messe, Japan.

Yefang Zhang, Farmmi's Chairwoman and CEO, stated, "Foodex Japan serves as an effective high-profile platform for us to engage with existing and potential customers, partners and strategic parties. Given our area of specialization we are benefitting from steadily increased interest as healthy eating has become mainstream. We are at the same time continuing to expand our leading ecommerce platform Farmmi Liangpin Market (www.farmmi.com), as companies turn us for our ability to build online sales and promotional campaigns for products that were traditionally available only regionally. Farmmi has participated in Foodex Japan since 2005 given the promotional and sales opportunities with companies doing business worldwide. In addition to the many near term business opportunities that we will be following-up on over the coming months, we were able to conduct valuable market research. We are currently engaged with more than 120 brands today spanning seven core categories. By uncovering additional sales and promotional opportunities around appropriate geographical indications products we can continue to mutually grow with our customers."
