GoNoodle and The Kids Mental Health Foundation Expand The Mooderators Channel with New SEL Animated Videos and Free Educator Webinar
ATLANTA, Sept. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- GoNoodle, in partnership with The Kids Mental Health Foundation, is thrilled to announce the release of three new animated videos as part of its beloved The Mooderators series, deepening its commitment to supporting teachers and students through social-emotional learning (SEL), movement, and mindfulness.
This expansion transforms fan-favorite characters Skye and Clara into animated guides who lead kids through engaging and accessible SEL exercises. The new episodes feature tools that offer calming, interactive strategies specifically designed for lower-elementary learners.
In addition to the new videos, GoNoodle and The Kids Mental Health Foundation are introducing the brand-new Feelings Workbook, available in both K–2nd and 3rd–5th and in both English and Spanish. These interactive activities help students better understand why they feel emotions like happiness, sadness, frustration, and excitement and give them the language to describe and manage those feelings. Designed to seamlessly integrate into classroom routines, the workbooks also provide teachers with actionable insights to support students' emotional growth and well-being.
With over 17 million video views and more than 34,000 curriculum downloads, The Mooderators have evolved from a video series into a trusted, impactful SEL resource used in classrooms nationwide. This next chapter in the partnership between GoNoodle and KMHF ensures that educators have not just access to new content, but also the professional development and tools they need to foster emotionally intelligent, resilient, and confident learners. As schools prepare for a new year, this launch reaffirms both organizations' shared commitment to supporting educators through joyful, evidence-informed strategies that meet the social and emotional needs of today's students.
"At GoNoodle, our mission is to support teachers with resources that are easy to use and make a real difference in kids' lives," said KC Estenson, CEO of GoNoodle. "These new Mooderators videos represent some of the best approaches developed by The Kids Mental Health Foundation to help kids regulate emotions, manage stress, and build confidence while giving educators tools they can trust to create calm, connected classrooms."
The expansion of The Mooderators channel directly addresses key insights from GoNoodle's 2024 Teacher Survey. Among the 425 educators surveyed, 60.9% agreed that Mooderators content made tough topics more relatable for students, and 47.7% said it helped them approach difficult conversations in their classrooms. However, nearly 46.4% of teachers still reported feeling unequipped to guide students through emotionally charged discussions, underscoring a clear gap in support. Additionally, 63.8% of educators expressed a strong desire for more digital SEL resources tailored to real-world classroom needs. To answer that call, The Mooderators video series pairs Kids Mental Health Foundation teacher, parent, and caregiver workbooks and activity sheets with each video within The Mooderators channel.
"We are very grateful to be able to reach even more students in classrooms with our continued partnership with GoNoodle, the expansion of The Mooderators videos, and the new Feelings Workbook," said Ariana Hoet, PhD, Executive Clinical Director of The Kids Mental Health Foundation and a pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital. "Our Mooderators episodes and guides help teachers, parents and caregivers navigate the big emotions and social experiences young kids face every day. The new videos and workbook teach important mental wellness skills with activities everyone can use in the home or classroom."
These new videos meet that call with engaging strategies centered on positive coping, behavior management, and creating emotional regulation tools, all designed to fit naturally into classroom routines through movement and mindfulness.
To help educators maximize the impact of these new Mooderators videos, GoNoodle and The Kids Mental Health Foundation will host a free, live webinar designed to offer practical implementation strategies on September 30th. The event will feature Dr. Ariana Hoet, Executive Clinical Director at Kids Mental Health Foundation, alongside a panel of experienced educators who actively use the series. Attendees will receive expert tips for classroom integration, downloadable SEL resources, and the opportunity to win exclusive classroom kits.
