Help Spread Kindness And End Bullying By Joining Planet Fitness

HAMPTON, N.H., Oct. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Fitness, Inc., one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the U.S., aims to spread kindness and end bullying this October (National Bullying Prevention Month) by donating 100 percent of all new member enrollment fees now through Oct. 13 to its nonprofit partner, Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Everyone is invited to join for just $5 down, and then $10 a month with no commitment. Existing Planet Fitness members are also welcome to make a donation to the cause in-club during that timeframe.

The promotion, which last year raised more than $1 million, helps support programs to prevent bullying and promote a culture of kindness through Planet Fitness' philanthropic initiative, The Judgement Free Generation™.

Bullying has become all-too-common in today's society, with 1 in 4 youth reporting that they've been bullied and parents of school-aged children citing it as their number one concern. As the home of the Judgement Free Zone®, Planet Fitness is committed to addressing this issue and has funded trainings for more than 2,000 staff from 764 Boys & Girls Clubs across the country through a partnership with the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.

The new facility will provide the more than 350 youth who come to the Club daily the ability to exercise in an inclusive and encouraging workout environment, without the risk of feeling judged or bullied.
