Mr. Hudgins appeared in numerous films including The Blue and The Grey, documentaries, and television shows as J.E.B Stuart and others. Mr. Hudgins was an accomplished horseman and re-enactor, and he lived within minutes of the J.E.B Stuart Birthplace and studied Confederate Civil War history throughout his life. A. Reid Hudgins was a Vietnam Veteran, a Mason, and a historian of the Civil War. He left a collection of historic artifacts and books that is tremendous in scope, and unparalleled in historical relevance.
Iron Horse Auction Company has been appointed to handle this important and historic collection by the Estate of the late A. Reid Hudgins of Westfield, North Carolina.
