Company's new pretest and posttest feature helps schools and districts measure student growth
LUBBOCK, Texas, Oct. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- As career and technical education (CTE) continues to remain a national priority, schools and districts need high-quality, easy-to-use resources to support and track their growing CTE programs. iCEV, a trailblazer in CTE solutions, continues to meet this need by offering updated solutions and new features, including pretests and posttests, for the 2025-2026 school year.
"CTE educators deserve tools that monitor progress as well as strengthen outcomes. With pretests and posttests, iCEV gives educators the tools to track growth, adjust instruction, and demonstrate program effectiveness," said Clayton Franklin, Chief Product Officer of iCEV. "Our commitment is to keep innovating so every CTE program has the resources it needs to thrive."
Measuring Student Growth
Schools and districts can now access pretests and posttests for most of iCEV's educational objectives-aligned courses to help measure student growth and program effectiveness. With pretests, CTE educators can use the results to adjust instructional strategies to help maximize learning outcomes. At the end of a course, students complete a posttest to assess their progress and measure their learning growth.
iCEV's pretest and posttest reports provide educators with actionable insights to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes. Accessible directly within the app or downloadable as a .csv file, these reports allow filtering by teacher, course, or student for flexible analysis.
The Educational Standards Report highlights class performance on specific learning objectives, enabling educators to compare pretest and posttest results, measure growth, and pinpoint areas for targeted remediation. The Student Scores Report offers a detailed view of individual or class performance, including growth percentages, test duration, and percentage changes by objective, ensuring a clear picture of student progress. Together, these tools empower teachers to make data-driven decisions, identify instructional strengths and needs, and support student success through informed, focused instruction.
Additional Updates
iCEV introduced a new global navigation to create a more consistent and user-friendly experience across the platform. The modern left-hand menu makes it simple for educators and administrators to move through the system, access curriculum, and track student progress with greater efficiency.
To further enhance the administrator and teacher experience, iCEV added several new capabilities. Administrators can now import teachers directly from Clever or ClassLink, bulk import via CSV, and manage login types and account access. The onboarding process for teachers has also been streamlined, allowing them to roster courses with one or more sections directly from their SIS.
These updates put greater autonomy in the hands of educators and administrators, enabling them to manage implementation more effectively and with greater efficiency.
