NEW YORK, July 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SiriusXM announced today that Sway Calloway and Joel and Victoria Osteen will team up to host a special SiriusXM broadcast event from Detroit on Thursday, July 21, focusing on music, inspiration and the role they both play in Detroit's communities. The event will happen Thursday in front of a live audience at the S.A.Y. Detroit Play Center beginning at 4:00 pm ET and will air Friday (6:00pm and 9:00 pm ET) and Saturday (5:00 pm ET) on Osteen's SiriusXM channel, Joel Osteen Radio (SiriusXM 128).
A collaboration between SiriusXM and the Generation Hope Project, an outreach of Joel Osteen Ministries, the special will be one of the lead-up events for Osteen's America's Night of Hope event that Saturday (July 23) at Detroit's Comerica Park.
SiriusXM's broadcast will feature performances by Christian artists Stephanie J. Pride, Christon Gray, Mali Music and LYA, the band led by the Osteens' son, Jonathan, who will be releasing a new song that weekend. Joel, Victoria and Sway will lead a discussion on inspiring hope in communities like Detroit. Featured speakers at the event will also include bestselling author Mitch Albom, founder of the S.A.Y. Detroit charity, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, motivational speaker Eric Thomas, PhD, and other community leaders.
