Lennox Facility in Stuttgart, Ark., Receives American Manufacturing Strategy Award for Operational Excellence

The American Manufacturing Strategy Awards (AMSA) celebrate excellence in all aspects of production, including lean manufacturing, innovation, operational excellence and sustainability. Lennox Industries was chosen for its significant waste reduction and high level of customer satisfaction.

According to AMSA judges, "The formulation of the Stuttgart Lean Team has clearly worked in focusing the company on its 16 key areas of improvement, resulting in waste reduction gains. Splitting these areas down to such a detailed level has enabled Lennox to gain more operational excellence, focusing the attention to make improvements achievable. It also makes workers more accountable, thus promoting a company-wide culture of accountability and responsibility that in turn increases productivity."

The 750,000-square-foot Lennox Stuttgart facility employs more than 1,000 workers during peak summer season. The Lennox Stuttgart facility team builds a variety of commercial air conditioning and heating products including packaged rooftop units, split system and units heaters for the domestic and international market.
