MedStar EMS Deploys DriveCam powered by Lytx™ Fleet-wide to Keep Drivers and Community Even Safer

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lytx, Inc. (formerly DriveCam Inc.), a global leader in delivering video-based driver safety and predictive analytics, announced today a fleet-wide deployment of its DriveCam Program with MedStar Mobile Healthcare, the exclusive ambulance service provider to over 880,000 residents throughout the Fort Worth, TX, area. During a four-month full-fleet trial phase with the driver safety program, MedStar experienced a significant increase in safe driving, including a 76 percent reduction in traffic violations, and a 48 percent reduction in distracted driving. These outstanding results led to a decision to deploy the DriveCam program fleet-wide immediately.

According to Curtis, data from the trial phase coupled with information from MedStar's operations manager solidified the deal. Early in his career he had been in a bad accident in which the DriveCam program was used and helped exonerate him from any wrong doing. It was his first-hand account of the benefits of the DriveCam program that led to the executive management team's final decision to deploy fleet-wide.
