Molly Biwer joins Hallmark as Senior Vice President - Public Affairs and Communications
Steve Doyal to retire after 41 years
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Molly Biwer, vice president – corporate communications and public relations at Carlson, has been named senior vice president of public affairs and communications of Hallmark Cards, Inc. She will join Hallmark on November 9, reporting to Dave Hall – Hallmark president.
Biwer will replace Steve Doyal who is retiring at year end after 41 years at Hallmark, serving as senior vice president – public affairs and communications for 21 of those years.
In this role, Biwer will lead Hallmark's communications, public relations, government affairs and community involvement programs. She also will be responsible for the Hallmark Visitors Center, Kaleidoscope – a children's creative art experience at Crown Center – and the philanthropic activities of the Hallmark Corporate Foundation. Biwer also will be a member of Hallmark's corporate leadership council and will become a corporate officer.

Biwer currently leads employee communications, public relations and corporate culture initiatives for Carlson, a Minneapolis-based leader in the hospitality and travel industries. She is also responsible for issues management, shareholder relations and the company's philanthropic endeavors.
Biwer holds a bachelor's degree in marketing education from the University of Minnesota and achieved certified green belt status in the Six Sigma Process Improvement program. She serves on the board of directors for World Press Institute and the Hennepin Health Foundation. She also is a member of the advisory board for the Cornell University Center for Hospitality Research.
