Nashville Ranks among Most Expensive Spring Destinations in the USA
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nashville ranks among the most expensive destinations in the United States this spring for travelers, according to the latest survey from CheapHotels.org. The survey compared all U.S. destinations based on their cost of lodging during the month of April 2015.
Specifically, the survey pitted the destinations against each other based on the minimum price travelers will have to pay to stay in the cheapest available double room. It bears mentioning that only centrally located hotels and inns with an overall rating of at least 2 stars and with a positive average client evaluation have been considered.
In Nashville, the capital of the U.S. state of Tennessee, visitors will have to spend an average of $187 per night for the least expensive double room. Only three destinations are more expensive: the Florida Key's Islamorada and Key West, with average rates of $203 and $219, respectively, and Charleston, S.C. Indeed, Charleston comes in as the survey's most expensive spring destination with an average of $221 per night.
Nashville, Boston and New Orleans are three additional cities that landed in the Top 10. Another three beach destinations make an appearance as well, namely Santa Monica, California, Tybee Island in Georgia and St. Pete Beach in Florida.
