NEW YORK, March 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kids Foot Locker, part of the New York-based specialty athletic retailer Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL), with adidas Originals, today unveiled its latest spot "Little Pro," featuring NBA star Andrew Wiggins. The 30-second commercial shows Wiggins unexpectedly boosting the confidence of a young fan after complimenting his new adidas Originals gear from Kids Foot Locker.
The commercial opens with a kid who spots Wiggins in a movie theater and can't believe he is finally meeting his idol. With the young fan dressed in the latest from Kids Foot Locker, Wiggins confirms his adidas Originals gear is exactly what the pros, like him, wear off the court. With his newfound confidence, the fan calls his mom to explain that because Wiggins says he looks like a pro, and pros are exempt from curfews, he likely won't be home until later in the evening. The mom quickly asks to speak to Wiggins, to which Wiggins assures her apologetically that "it will never happen again."
"We are excited to be able to partner with adidas and the talented Andrew Wiggins in such a fun way, featuring some of the latest gear Kids Foot Locker has to offer," said Stacy Cunningham, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Foot Locker. "Through his great sense of humor, Wiggins really brought to life the playful nature of the Kids Foot Locker brand, showcasing our a great selection of adidas Originals gear that will have all of our consumers looking like pros."
"Any time you get to be in a commercial, it's a special feeling," said Andrew Wiggins. "This commercial especially made me remember what it was like being a kid, looking up to the pros and wanting to dress and be like them. It's cool to have kids look up to me the way I used to look up to my idols."
The commercial debuts online and via broadcast today. The spot was created by worldwide agency BBDO. For adidas Originals product information, details and more, visit kidsfootlocker.com.
