New Strategic Hire for Control Point Associates, Inc.

WARREN, N.J., June 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Control Point Associates, Inc. ("CPA"), leaders in the land surveying, geospatial and consulting industry, announced today that they are welcoming Jason Shapiro as their new Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer.

Jason will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. In addition, he will provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. This also includes business development and marketing initiatives to sustain and significantly increase sales revenue for CPA and its individual branches.

Prior to joining CPA, Shapiro was Controller of IEEE, where he was responsible for: accounting of IEEE and the IEEE Foundation, AR, AP, payroll, procurement and sourcing, financial planning and analysis, and domestic and international taxes.

Prior to joining IEEE, Jason served as Chief Financial Officer at Iron Eagle Group, an energy & infrastructure company that he founded. Mr. Shapiro was previously Vice President of Macquarie Capital Fund, Macquarie Group's Private Equity Group. Prior to Macquarie, Mr. Shapiro was at UBS Investment Bank.

Jason earned his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's The Wharton School, earned his J.D from the Seton Hall University School of Law and from Zicklin School of Business's Baruch College where he earned his M.S. in Accountancy. Jason was the Valedictorian of Rutgers College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and completed his studies in three years with a B.S. in Computer Science.
