NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruder Finn, Inc., a leading independent global creative and communications agency, today announced the hire of Sarah Anderson as Executive Vice President and Head of the U.S. Consumer Practice, expanding the agency's work on consumer-focused projects across industries.
This addition to the agency's leadership team further bolsters Ruder Finn's robust capabilities in the consumer space. To support consumer clients, Ruder Finn partners with the agency's full-service digital practice, RFI Studios, to take a holistic approach and develop integrated traditional and digital communications campaigns for clients such as McDonald's, Mondelez International and Showtime Sports. Anderson's extensive media and branding experience will strengthen the consumer practice, as the agency continues to drive leading integrated, creative campaigns – ranging from large-scale activations to experiential marketing projects.
With the constant evolution of consumer habits and behaviors, the marketplace for consumer goods and services continually changes, and communications must shift concurrently. As audiences continue to consume more visual and interactive content, Anderson combines media programming with digital and social extensions to develop authentic, influential campaigns that extend beyond traditional methods of telling a brand story and reach new levels of engagement with consumers.
"In today's business environment, companies in every industry – from healthcare and financial services to technology and luxury – need to apply a consumer philosophy when approaching their communications strategies," said Kathy Bloomgarden, CEO of Ruder Finn. "With her considerable consumer experience and fresh vision, Sarah will amplify our already strong expertise in integrating traditional and digital to transform our consumer clients' relationships with their customers."
Anderson has more than 20 years of industry experience working on executive thought leadership, brand positioning and product launches for major consumer brands in every category – from Red Bull and numerous Unilever and P&G brands, to brands like Quaker, Best Buy and Heineken. Prior to joining Ruder Finn, she ran her own agency and worked in long-term consulting roles for agencies like Edelman, Weber Shandwick and Golin, advising on media strategies and overall programming and providing communications training for numerous clients.
"As an independent agency with a global reach, Ruder Finn offers the freedom for senior leaders to be intensely involved in client work and deliver extraordinary results," said Sarah Anderson. "Alongside the agency's talented digital storytellers and media mavens, I'm excited to ideate and execute breakthrough campaigns for our consumer clients and help further grow the thriving practice."
