Leading global stevia producer to showcase a new sweetener at IFT 2015
BELLINGHAM, Wash., July 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sweet Green Fields, a leading U.S.-based global producer of stevia extracts, today announced a new breakthrough stevia product, Intesse. A proprietary, JECFA compliant Non-GMO blend of active steviol glycosides (stevia compounds), Intesse offers customers an upfront sweetness profile extremely close to sugar with added health benefits, and a significantly reduced bitterness and lingering profile compared with other stevia sweeteners. As the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee continues to recommend less sugar consumption, and the Food and Drug administration proposes food nutrition labels to caution on added sugars, stevia continues to be a preferred sugar-free sweetener. In trained sensory studies conducted by SGF, panelists acknowledged Intesse offered no aftertaste or bitter flavor note, and rather a pure sugar-like taste.
