The Army's partnership with CIAA is another example of the Army's commitment to helping young Americans create their own path to success. These students are three of more than 377 ROTC Cadets at CIAA institutions receiving funds for tuition and educational fees through the Army ROTC program. The Army is supporting Cadets at CIAA schools through scholarship funding totaling more than $585,000. Currently, the Army ROTC offers more than $286 million in merit-based scholarships for students throughout the country to attain a college education. Financial benefits include two-, three- and four-year scholarships, an annual book allowance and a tax-free stipend of up to $500 a month.
This year marks the Army's fourth consecutive partnership with the CIAA Basketball Tournament. As part of the partnership, the Army maintains a strong presence throughout tournament week, bringing awareness to the Army's support of education and leadership development, as well as the many career opportunities available in the Army. In addition to the tournament, the Army will have a presence at the CIAA Education Day and Career Expo in order to provide information about the many benefits of serving in the Army and the Army Strong Zone– an interactive display that provides youth the opportunity to experience Army life while interacting with Soldiers – will be featured at the CIAA Fan Experience.
