Brian Silverstein, MD and Richard Weil, PhD to Join BDC Leadership Team, Expanding the Firm's Presence in the Key Midwest Region
MIAMI, July 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Rick Wesslund, Founder and Chairman of BDC Advisors, announced that Brian Silverstein, MD and Richard Weil, PhD, founders of HC Wisdom, a Chicago-based healthcare consulting firm known for its work in population health and accountable care strategy, have joined BDC Advisors. As managing directors of BDC, Silverstein and Weil will assume key leadership responsibilities for the future growth of the firm.

Wesslund announced that Silverstein and Weil will continue to be based in Chicago, giving BDC a much stronger presence in the important mid-western marketplace. Brian Silverstein is a national healthcare thought leader with extensive leadership and operations consulting experience in the payer and provider healthcare market. He is a system board member for OSF Healthcare, and a member of the Governance Institute. He formerly served as Senior Vice President of CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield of Maryland, where he ran the nation's largest primary care ACO and was the Chicago Office head for The Camden Group.
Rick Weil is a former partner of Oliver Wyman's Health and Life Sciences practice and served as Senior Vice President of Transformation for Evolent Health. He is recognized as an expert in value-based care strategy, organization and business design with clients ranging from hospital systems, payers, medical technology companies and large physician groups.
