Carbon Trade eXchange Launches CTX Corporate One for Institutional-Scale, High-Quality Carbon Credits

Free to open for the first time in 18 years, with a flat 10-cent fee per credit

GOLD COAST, Australia and LONDON, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Corporate One is built for large international project developers and corporate offtake brokers on the sell side, and institutional traders, major banks and corporations with dedicated carbon trading desks on the buy side - organisations trading high-quality credits at scale, typically upwards of US$10 per tonne CO_2e.

CTX Corporate One is an invitation-only account for the market's largest buyers and sellers of high-quality carbon credits, backed by an in-house trading desk that supports members from sourcing through to portfolio construction. It is the first time in CTX's 18-year history that the exchange has waived its account-opening fee and moved off a percentage-based commission.

Flat Fee, High-Quality Focus

Standard CTX membership charges a percentage of trade value - 2% to the buyer, 5% to the seller - plus an annual account fee. Corporate One replaces both: no account-opening fee, no minimum balance, and a flat US$0.10 per credit, per side, regardless of price. It is priced for institutional-scale trading in high-quality credits, typically US$10+ per tonne, rather than high-frequency, small-ticket trades, giving both sides of the trade a cost they can plan around no matter which way the price moves.

Built for Scale

Corporate One is designed around institutional traders' workflows, not SME or retail buyers or sellers. Trades settle T+0 & 24/7/365 under CTX's Continuous Trading Contract, and cleared electronically with no paperwork. Members can buy-to-transfer or buy-to-retire without holding their own registry accounts. Transfer and retirement fees are simplified to a single one-time charge on Verra VCS credits, with no transfer or retirement fee at all on Gold Standard, Global Carbon Registry, BioCarbon Standard credits or UCR and UNFCCC CDM. Every trade includes FX rates streamed live via Westpac Bank at the point of execution, an instant invoice and statement with full co-benefit symbols.

Corporate One members also keep access to the many millions of credits listed on CTX, which are constantly changing and span a wide range of project types, vintages and price points, so portfolios can be built with both depth and balance. Current registry and transfer fees still apply. For new large-scale listings in Q4, CTX has also waived delisting fees until Q2 2027 (VCS fees still apply).

Invitation Only

Access is by invitation only - CTX is extending the offer directly to organisations that fit the Corporate One account's profile, not opening it to self-service sign-up. Corporate One invitees who accept up until 31^st October can also nominate up to three major buyers or suppliers per quarter, up to twelve strategic counterparties a year, for their own free Corporate One account, on the same terms.
