ClearMotion Initiates Construction of Inaugural Production Facility in Changshu, Paving the Way for Global Expansion

The production facility marks pivotal moment in company growth as it takes ClearMotion1 into the industrialization stage

CHANGSHU, China, Aug. 17, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearMotion, the leading software-defined chassis company revolutionizing the in-cabin experience, began construction today on its inaugural production facility, marking a pivotal moment in the company's global evolution. The state-of-the-art Changshu facility, located on a brownfield site, is a crucial step towards global delivery of the company's ClearMotion1 (CM1) product in 2024.

CM1 is a high-bandwidth active suspension technology that cancels unwanted motion in cars to improve ride comfort, productivity, and safety. Looking towards the EV mobility experience of the future, CM1 creates an unparalleled immersive in-car entertainment experience while reducing unwanted vibration by up to 75%.

The production facility will be a multifaceted hub for production, prototyping, comprehensive hardware and software testing, and dedicated quality analysis. The factory will be operational by Q1 2024, with production deliveries slated to begin in Q4 2024. As ClearMotion's single largest investment to date, the production facility represents the company's plans for innovative, high-volume expansion. In fact:

• The facility will have the capacity to produce over 1.5 million components yearly at full operation
• The expansive site includes more than 7,000 square meters of production area and 2,000 square meters for development
