CMG Joins Hands with Nanjing to Empower Young Sci-tech Innovators

NANJING, China, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 19, "Leaders In Future Tech+", a large-scale documentary-style sci-tech innovation media event, held its Youth Innovation Carnival in Nanjing. Co-hosted by China Media Group, the Ministry of Education and Nanjing Municipal People's Government, the activity gathered academicians, experts, industrial representatives, investors and young innovators, building a national-level platform for young talents to display strengths and connect resources. The second season of the program was officially launched at the scene.

Sticking to the principle that science and technology are the primary productive force, talent the primary resource and innovation the primary driving force, the event links young innovators with "patient capital". Investment institutions signed cooperation agreements, with intended investment exceeding 485 million yuan covering 34 tech startups. They promise early-stage, small-scale, high-tech and long-term investment to speed up lab results' commercial application.

Selected from nearly 500 projects across 10 cities, 100 groups of young innovators with an average age of 28 assembled in Nanjing. After competitions, 15 finalists stepped onto the carnival. Awards were announced under different themes. The event also showcased cutting-edge non-invasive brain-computer interface technology from Nanjing University. Video encouragement was sent by Cai Lei, ALS fighter and innovation recommendation officer. Wonderful performances further enlivened the venue.

Going forward, "Leaders In Future Tech+" will keep empowering young innovators, accompanying them to turn ideas into reality and fueling China's high-level sci-tech self-reliance. It is streamed on CMG's new-media matrix and will be broadcast on CCTV-4.
