Eye Level Awards 2025: First-Ever Joint Ceremony for Hong Kong & Macau Students
Multiple international competitions inspired students to aim higher, winning praise from educators and parents alike.
HONG KONG, May 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The annual Eye Level Awards Ceremony cum Carnival 2025, organized by Daekyo Hong Kong, was successfully held on May 25 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. This marked the first-ever joint ceremony for students from both Hong Kong and Macau, as the event—traditionally held in Macau—brought together awardees from both regions in a single, unified celebration. Over 2,000 students and their parents attended, making it the most well-attended ceremony to date.
This historic collaboration showcased the shared commitment of both regions to nurturing academic excellence and holistic growth. Students recognized at the ceremony had excelled in Eye Level's international and local competitions, deepening regional collaboration while fostering global learning connections. Through these challenges, participants developed autonomous learning habits, discovered new interests, and enhanced their skills in math, language, and critical thinking.
Celebrating Excellence Across Four Key Competitions
All competitions attracted around 4,000 participants, including representatives from nearly 70 schools across Hong Kong and Macau. The joint nature of this year's event gave more students from both regions the chance to participate and be recognized on a unified stage. Director of Eye Level Hong Kong, Mr. Oh, presented the Eye Level awards to the winners from Hong Kong and Macau.
In particular, the Eye Level Math Olympiad continued to grow on a global scale, with participation from approximately 20 countries each year. This year, 10 students from Hong Kong and Macau earned the title of World Champion, joining the global celebration of excellence.
A Global Win for a Local Star
The Eye Level Literary Award welcomed entries from across countries and regions. Hong Kong student Adrian Wong earned the global gold award in the Creative Writing category, receiving a $1,000 cash prize and a fully sponsored trip to attend the award ceremony in Seoul, South Korea, with his family.
More Than Just Awards: A Day of Fun and Discovery
In addition to the awards, the event featured a vibrant carnival with a bouncy castle and over 10 STEAM-themed and innovation-based game stations. Students from both Hong Kong and Macau enjoyed a shared experience as they explored learning through play. Eye Level also prepared special gifts for all attendees, ensuring everyone left with lasting memories.
