Hoymiles HiOne All-in-One BESS Powers Thai Homes with More Resilient, Flexible Energy Systems

BANGKOK, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Thailand's hot and humid climate, growing household electricity demand and the need for greater power reliability are driving more homeowners to look beyond solar generation alone. Hoymiles' HiOne all-in-one BESS system, paired with HiBox gateway, is helping households in Bangkok make better use of solar power, manage electricity consumption and maintain power availability during grid interruptions.

Meeting Thailand's Growing Residential Energy Needs

For Thai households, hot climate drives heavy air-conditioning use, while high electricity costs and power interruptions create demand for systems that offer more than daytime solar generation.

The market is also moving toward wider residential solar adoption. According to the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Thailand had 3,310 MWp of cumulative rooftop solar capacity by the end of 2024. In 2026, the government also introduced a residential solar feed-in program targeting up to 500 MW of capacity nationwide, allowing eligible households to sell surplus solar electricity to utilities at THB 2.20/kWh under 10-year power purchase agreements.

In this context, local installer COMSYS SOLAR has deployed Hoymiles HiOne systems with HiBox gateway across multiple residential properties in Bangkok. Configurations include 10kW or 12kW of solar capacity with 8kWh or 16kWh of storage, allowing each system to be matched to the household's energy needs.

Flexible Solar-plus-Storage for Greater Energy Resilience

Hoymiles' HiOne BESS integrates the inverter, battery and energy management system (EMS) into a minimalist, space-saving design. With maximum efficiency of 98.5% and more than 8,000 battery life cycles, HiOne combines efficient energy conversion with long-term performance.

New and existing batteries can be mixed through built-in DC-DC technology, with storage capacity expandable from 8 to 64kWh. Its AI-powered time-of-use (TOU) optimization adjusts charging strategies based on electricity prices and household consumption patterns to maximize self-consumption and reduce electricity costs.

The HiBox gateway serves as a central hub for whole-home backup, providing seamless off-grid switching to help keep household appliances running during grid outages. It also supports system expansion through an additional inverter, compatible third-party generators and PV inverters, as well as smart load management through its Smart Port.

Hoymiles' HiOne helps Thai households make better use of locally generated solar power while adapting to changing electricity demand. The multiple installations by COMSYS SOLAR in Bangkok demonstrate how flexible system configurations can meet diverse household energy needs and support more resilient residential energy use.
