Indonesia Invites Japanese Travellers to Go Beyond Ordinary at Tourism Expo Japan 2026

TOKYO, Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Indonesia is strengthening its tourism promotion in Japan through its participation in Tourism Expo Japan 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight, Hall E2. The Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia will showcase the country's diverse destinations, tourism products, and hospitality offerings under the national tourism brand Wonderful Indonesia, while introducing its latest campaign, "Go Beyond Ordinary."

The campaign reflects Indonesia's commitment to delivering immersive, high-quality, and distinctive travel experiences beyond conventional tourism. It invites Japanese travellers to explore not only iconic destinations such as Bali, but also the rich diversity of destinations and experiences across the Indonesian archipelago.

The Indonesian Pavilion features eight tourism industry representatives covering travel services, destination management, air transportation, accommodation, and wellness tourism. Adventure Indonesia and Wendy Asia Utama will showcase diverse travel products and experiences, while DMC White Tiger Bali will present its destination management expertise and comprehensive tourism services.

Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia's national flag carrier, represents the transportation sector, highlighting the importance of connectivity between Japan and Indonesia. The accommodation sector is represented by Kuno Villas, Menjaga Bay Resort, and The Mulia Resort and Villas, offering experiences ranging from distinctive villas and nature-based stays to premium and luxury resorts. Yoga Barn will highlight Indonesia's growing potential as a destination for holistic wellness and rejuvenating travel. 

While the participating businesses are based in Bali, Labuan Bajo, and Lombok, the promotion extends across Indonesia, introducing Japanese travellers to destinations including Jakarta, Bali, Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Sumba, Yogyakarta, Malang, Bromo, Toraja, Tanjung Puting, and Raja Ampat, as well as other unique locations.

Visitors to the Indonesian Pavilion can also experience Indonesian culture first-hand through traditional dance performances, offering an engaging introduction to the country's rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions. Attendees can also enjoy specialty coffee from regions across Indonesia.

The Pavilion will facilitate B2B meetings, tourism product presentations, and networking sessions with Japanese travel agencies, tour operators, and tourism stakeholders.

Through Tourism Expo Japan 2026, the Ministry of Tourism aims to strengthen partnerships with Japan's tourism industry, broaden awareness of Indonesia beyond Bali, and encourage Japanese travellers to "Go Beyond Ordinary" with the many distinctive experiences Indonesia has to offer.
