Kakaopay Securities and Dinari Partner to Expand Global Access to Korean Equities

Collaboration will explore the application of Dinari's tokenization infrastructure to Korean-listed equities and establish a framework for their international distribution.

SEOUL, South Korea and SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dinari Inc. (Dinari), a financial infrastructure company enabling the issuance, distribution and trading of tokenized equities, today announced a strategic partnership with Kakaopay Securities, a leading mobile-first securities firm in South Korea, to advance international access to Korean-listed equities, including in the United States, through tokenization.

Kakaopay Securities and Dinari will collaborate on a framework for sourcing underlying Korean-listed equities, conduct a proof of concept for their tokenization, and establish a joint task force to evaluate the operational, technical and regulatory requirements for potential international distribution.

The partnership will explore the application of Dinari's dShares™ model to Korean-listed equities. dShares™ use a custodial model in which each token is backed one-to-one by the corresponding underlying security and designed to preserve applicable shareholder rights, including dividends and voting. The companies will evaluate the technical and operational requirements for applying this model to Korean-listed equities as well as the framework for distribution through Dinari's network of partners in the United States and international markets.

The partnership is intended to explore an additional channel for Korean public companies to reach investors outside Korea. Today, international access to Korean equities remains limited, with only a subset of Korean companies accessible through depositary receipts listed on overseas exchanges. Tokenization could provide another means of connecting Korean-listed securities with international markets while preserving the relationship to the underlying shares.
