Laos-China Railway Company Enables Digital Ticketing for Easy, Fast & Convenient Train Ticket Purchase With UnionPay Cards

New App from Laos-China Railway Company allows easy purchase of Laos-China Railway train tickets on mobile phone

VIENTIANE, Laos, April 13, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Laos-China Railway Company Limited (LCR) have launched an App on Google Play, iOS and Huawei to allow passengers to purchase LCR train tickets on their mobile phones using UnionPay cards, making purchase of LCR tickets easy, fast, convenient and secure.

LCR offers train services on the Laos-China railway starting on 3 December 2021, providing Laos people with fast, comfortable and convenient train services from Boten to Vientiane in the Laos portion of the railway. And starting at 8am today, the Vientiane to Kunming, China, cross border train service will start too, providing even more convenience for Laos residents. Online ticketing is relatively new for Laos, with only airline tickets now available for purchase online. This new App will greatly enhance the experience of buying LCR train tickets - passengers can purchase LCR train tickets on this app, not to mention paying securely and conveniently with UnionPay Prepaid, Debit and Credit Cards.

Besides purchase of LCR tickets, the App also allows passengers to check train schedules, amend ticketing details and request for refunds.
