PEI-Genesis Expands Asia-Pacific Capabilities with 6th Value-Add Production Facility in Pune, India

PUNE, India, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PEI-Genesis, a global leader in the design and assembly of custom-engineered interconnect solutions, proudly announces the expansion of its manufacturing footprint in Asia with the opening of a new production facility in Pune, India.

The Pune facility commenced operations on July 1, 2026, and has already successfully shipped its first customer order, marking an important milestone in PEI-Genesis's long-term commitment to serving customers across India and the broader Asia-Pacific region. The investment strengthens the company's regional supply chain while bringing expanded manufacturing capabilities, shorter lead times, and greater flexibility closer to customers.

The Pune facility is PEI-Genesis's sixth production facility worldwide and its second in the Asia-Pacific region, following the Zhuhai, China, facility. The site will provide value-added assembly of Mil-Spec circular MIL-DTL-38999 series connectors for customers in aerospace, aviation, defense and other demanding industries. Certified to assemble D38999 Series Qualified Parts List (QPL) connectors, the facility will also maintain locally stocked inventory from leading global connector manufacturers for customers in India and across the broader Asia-Pacific region. With 48-hour lead times for value-added connectors, low to no minimum order quantities and the ability for domestic customers in India to transact in Indian Rupees, the Pune facility will deliver faster, more flexible access to critical interconnect solutions while enhancing supply chain efficiency and reliability.
