Established in 1990 by Mr David Soh, Positive Design began when Singapore's retail interior and shopfitting industry was still developing. Its progression into luxury retail came gradually, as increasingly complex projects called for greater precision, craftsmanship and technical coordination.

What began as a small shared office with four to five employees developed into a team of more than 15 before the Covid-19 pandemic, prompting a move into its own office. Today, Positive Design maintains offices and manufacturing facilities across Thailand, China, Malaysia and Vietnam, extending its regional capabilities beyond its Singapore origins.
