Rently Launches Free Home Contents Insurance with Emergency Repairs for Non-Landed Homes in Singapore

SINGAPORE, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Rently, a Singapore-based platform that combines finance and property tech, has introduced a complimentary insurance coverage plan for Rently Care users residing in non-landed homes. Officially launched on 4 April 2025, the plan includes home contents protection and up to three emergency repair services per coverage period, each valued at up to S$150.

The new offering gives eligible tenants added protection and convenience, underscoring Rently's mission to simplify the rental journey. With features like deposit-free renting via Rently Care and automated rent payments through Rently Pay, an automated rent payment feature, Rently now extends its support further with insurance coverage provided by a globally recognised insurance partner.

The embedded insurance solution was made possible through a collaboration with global insurtech company discovermarket, which enabled seamless integration into Rently's platform.

A Timely Response to an Evolving Market

With more than 13,000 rental scam cases reported in 2025, the need for enhanced rental security has never been more apparent. Insurance protection is quickly becoming an essential safety net for both tenants and landlords navigating an increasingly complex market.

The insurance provides comprehensive protection for the home, covering damage to household contents and renovations caused by incidents such as fire and burst water pipes.

Additional key coverage features include:

• Coverage of valuables, including jewellery and furs, up to S$1,000
• Temporary accommodation costs if the residence becomes uninhabitable
• Multi-appliance extended warranty under the highest plan tier, covering up to S$400 for the repair or replacement of appliances

The insurance also includes up to three complimentary emergency home care services per coverage period, each worth up to S$150. Services include locksmith, plumbing, electrical, pest control, and air conditioning maintenance services.
